It’s hard to believe that Disney’s newest park is already over 20 years old. To celebrate, Pandora – World Of Avatar opened in the former Camp Minnie Mickey area to great acclaim.
Disney has had quite a bit of investment over the past 20 years to counter claims from many that it was half a park. With Pandora, the park hours have finally been extended to a full day schedule but parades and shows are a seasonal affair.
Currently, only this overview page is active. Each of the sections below will eventually hold more information on the park’s attractions.
While one may be an off-the-shelf cheap addition you can ride anywhere, Expedition Everest is Disney at it’s very best. A perfect mix of family thrills and Disney Magic.
Thrill rides don’t necessarily go hand in hand with animals and nature but Dinosaur, perhaps one of Disney World’s most underrated attractions, isn’t for the faint of heart.
Disney Wolrd, in general, is perhaps underserved by water rides, but Kali River Rapids is one of the best-themed raft rides around.
Dark & Immersive Rides
Pandora upped the dark ride tally by 200%. They are welcome, as is the air conditioning on swelteringly hot days but the best sights are out and about exploring the park.
Camp Minnie Mickey was a big focus until it closed. Away from the animals and colourful world of Pandora most of the child friendly attractions are in Dinoland USA.
Rivers Of Light may be a let down from other night time spectaculars but Finding Nemo – The Musical is a great show and Festival Of The Lion King is always hugely popular.
